Ligdol Beivrit is an after-school activity that takes place at The Parks, designed for children ages 3-6 who want to experience the Hebrew language in an experiential and enjoyable way. Activities usually take place every other Sunday afternoon.

The activity began in 2020, when Simcha, the founder, joined forces with a group of Israeli parents in Washington to create a framework where children could experience Hebrew as a living, breathing language, not just a language spoken at home. Since then, these meetings have become an integral part of our community's Hebrew life.

At each meeting, children enjoy various activities led by professional instructors - games, arts and crafts, songs, stories, and movement activities. The emphasis is on natural learning through experience and enjoyment, with Hebrew organically integrated into all activities.

Our vision is simple: to create an environment where Hebrew is not just a language to be learned, but a language to live in. We believe that when children experience the language through play and creativity, it becomes a natural part of their world.

Although the activities are primarily designed for ages 3-6, we see that younger and older siblings who join also enjoy the experience. Families can join at any point during the year, and every family is invited to come and try it out. The cost is $20-25 per session
